Dream Away Lodge in Becket, MA
Over her seven years at the Dream Away Lodge in Becket, chef Amy Loveless has enjoyed the freedom to experiment with the menu, crafting an eclectic mix of rustic and international cuisine.
“It’s been a really wonderful and satisfying collaboration,” she says of working with lodge owner Daniel Osman. “And it’s a special spot, a very creative spot. And that’s very inspiring to me.”
Loveless plays with different ethnicities on her menu, and this summer she’ll offer dishes inspired by cultures all over the world, including elote (Mexican corn on the cob), a Thai-grilled flank-steak salad, and classic smoked-pork spare ribs with a North Carolina–style barbecue sauce. A longtime baker, Loveless is also looking forward to whipping up her favorite summer dessert: fruit pies with fruit from Don Baker Farm in Hudson Valley. All in all, she can’t really pick a favorite dish.
